ABOUT ME
I am Kinga Schuster, a Polish-German artist. On April 18th, 1980, I was born in Klodzko, a small Polish town surrounded by mountains, in times of deep communism. The world, in which I grew up, was very grey. There was only one right way of thinking, and the dominant color was "grey". Exactly this environment should have shaped me, but my soul wanted to fight against it, so I resisted this system. I had a deep desire and was determined to see intense colors and feel the freedom of thoughts and actions. In my childhood, I only had the opportunity to draw and paint with intense colors. That was my passion. I have received several national awards for my school pictures. In pursuit of following my very nature, I had to choose between studying art for my love of color or philosophy for the freedom of my thoughts. I chose the latter, but my love for painting has always persisted.
After graduating, I moved to Germany and started a family. When the children became more independent, I began to pursue my great passion - painting - again.
My pictures represent my feelings, my thoughts - they show my inner soul - through intense colors.
Due to the lack of theoretical artistic training, my acrylic paintings are free of influences from professors and rules. Expressionist styles permeate and mingle.
In the process of creation, I express what is inside of me and what needs to be transferred to the canvas - my personal expression.
